Awami Muslim League Pakistan () is a List of political parties in Pakistan political party formed in June 2008 by Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad. The party tends to have close relations with the PTI party. Former party This was also the name of the political party founded by Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani and Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and which later evolved into the Awami League, the party that, under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (himself a former aide to Suharwardy). The All Pakistan Awami Muslim League was formed as a breakaway faction of the "All Pakistan Muslim League" in 1949, within two years of the formation of Pakistan. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad (; born 6 November 1950) is a Pakistani politician who served as the 38th Interior Minister of Pakistan in Imran Khan government from 2020 to 2022. He is the founder and leader of Awami Muslim League, and also maintains close relations with the political party of former Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Early life and education Ahmad was born on 6 November 1950, into a Kashmiri family in Bhabra Bazaar in Rawalpindi, Punjab. He received his early education from Polytechnic College and graduated from Government Gordon College. Ahmad was a leader of the student union at Gordon College. He completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Punjab in 1973. He later earned his Master's in Political Science from the same university in 1982. 2002 Pakistani General Election
General elections were held in Pakistan on 10 October 2002 to elect the 12th National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies. The elections were held under the military government of Pervez Musharraf. The two mainstream parties, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) had several restrictions imposed on them and their leaders Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were in exile. In order to address the restrictions, PPP created the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) under the leadership of Ameen Faheem, to contest the elections on its behalf. Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani
Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani (12 December 1880 – 17 November 1976), also known reverentially as Maulana Bhashani, was a Bangladeshi politician and statesman who was one of the founder of the Awami League, the oldest and main political party in Bangladesh that played a pivotal role in the country's independence from Pakistan. His political tenure spanned the British colonial India, Pakistan and Bangladesh periods. Bhashani was popularly known by the honorary title ''Mozlum Jananeta'' for his lifelong stance advocating for the poor.
