Awakening Of The Trailblazer
is a 2010 Japanese anime science fiction film part of the ''Gundam'' media franchise, metaseries and directed by Seiji Mizushima. The film is set two years after the second season of ''Mobile Suit Gundam 00'', as the film sees Celestial Being against a group of hostile aliens known as ELS. The film is notable for being the first entry in Gundam to feature aliens as its antagonists. The film premiered on September 18, 2010, and was released on Blu-ray & DVD in Japan on December 25, 2010. Plot Two years after the defeat of the "Innovators (Mobile Suit Gundam 00), Innovators" and A-Laws, an unknown alien fragment lands on a research station and reactivates it, causing it to head towards Earth. In Celestial Being's Asteroid Base, Ian Vashti greets his wife, Linda, after her 2-year assignment and unloads two new GN Drives and a new incomplete Gundam, the GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]. Seiji Mizushima
is a Japanese anime director who is known for such series as ''Shaman King'', ''Fullmetal Alchemist (TV series), Fullmetal Alchemist'', ''Mobile Suit Gundam 00'', ''Un-Go'', ''Concrete Revolutio'', and ''Beatless''. His first directorial film project, ''Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa'', won the 60th Mainichi Film Award for Best Animation Film. In 2015, he won the Individual Award at the 20th Animation Kobe Awards. His name is occasionally rendered in full katakana when he is in charge of episode directing or storyboarding. He is not related to Tsutomu Mizushima, who is also an anime director and shares his surname, but they often jokingly call each other "brother" on Twitter.
