Awakening Sleeping Beauty
The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU) (also referred to as the Poohniverse), is a British film series and shared universe of independent slasher horror films. It was conceived and created by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, and produced by the filmmaker's Jagged Edge Productions film studio. The films center around characters from children's media reimagined as murderous villains; Winnie-the-Pooh and Peter Pan have been featured, with Bambi and Pinocchio planned. The franchise's first installment, '' Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey'', was met with a negative critical reception, though it turned a profit at the box office. The film's quality was called into question, with criticisms directed at the script, acting, directing, and cinematography; it also received five Golden Raspberry Awards. Rhys Frake-Waterfield
Rhys Frake-Waterfield (born ) is a British filmmaker who became known for his 2023 independent horror film '' Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey'' and its 2024 sequel. It was the first theatrical film of his career, as well as the first for his company Jagged Edge Productions. Early life Frake-Waterfield is from Essex, where he also studied at the University of Essex. Career In 2021, Frake-Waterfield left his corporate strategy job at EDF Energy to create low-budget horror films. After entering the film industry, he produced 36 feature films in two years. On 1 January 2022, the 1926 ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' book entered the public domain in the United States. Tinker Bell is a fictional character from J. M. Barrie's 1904 play '' Peter Pan'' and its 1911 novelisation '' Peter and Wendy''. She has appeared in a variety of film and television adaptations of the Peter Pan stories, in particular the 1953 animated Walt Disney picture '' Peter Pan''. Wendy Moira Angela Darling is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of the 1904 play and 1911 novel ''Peter and Wendy'' by J. M. Barrie, as well as in most adaptations in other media. Her exact age is not specified in the original play or novel by Barrie, though it is implied that she is about Peter's age as she is "just Peter's size". As a girl on the verge of adulthood, she stands in contrast to Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up, the major theme of the Peter Pan stories. ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' is a 1926 children's book by English author A. A. Milne and English illustrator E. H. Shepard. The book is set in the fictional Hundred Acre Wood, with a collection of short stories following the adventures of an anthropomorphic teddy bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, and his friends Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo. Piglet is a fictional character from A. A. Milne's ''Winnie-the-Pooh'' books. Piglet is Winnie‑the‑Pooh's closest friend amongst all the toys and animals featured in the stories. Although he is a "Very Small Animal" of a generally timid disposition, he tries to be brave and on occasion conquers his fears.
