Aviram Dahari (; born 1963) is an Israeli politician and current mayor of the Israeli city of Kiryat Gat since 2003 before 2024. Biography Dahari was born to a Yemenite-Jewish family. Kiryat Gat () also spelled Qiryat Gat, is a city in the Southern District of Israel. It lies south of Tel Aviv, north of Beersheba, and west southwest of Jerusalem. In it had a population of . Yemenite Jews, also known as Yemeni Jews or Teimanim (from ; ), are a Jewish diaspora group who live, or once lived, in Yemen, and their descendants maintaining their customs.
