Avigail Alfatov
Avigail Boblile ( he, אביגיל בובליל; born 28 February 1996) is an Israeli national fencing champion, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Na'arat Israel 2015 ( Miss Israel's runner-up). She represented her native Israel at Miss Universe 2015. Personal life Born Avigail Alfatov ( he, אביגיל אלפטוב) in Acre, Israel, to Ukrainian-Jewish (of Ashkenazi Jewish descent) immigrant parents. Alfatov's father is a graphic designer, and her mother is a teacher. Both her parents were born in Soviet Ukraine and immigrated to Israel, in order to escape antisemitism in the former USSR. She graduated ''magna cum laude'' from high school. In her spare time, she volunteers for AKIM, an Israeli organization that works to help people suffering from intellectual disabilities. Miss World
Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Yam Kaspers Anshel ( he, ים קספרס אנשל; born February 15, 1998) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder who became first runner-up in Miss Israel 2016. She represented Israel at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. Personal life Yam was born in 1998 in Herzliya, Israel. Yam grew up living on board a boat in the Herzliya marina. She was labeled an academically gifted child, and at age 14 she became a youth horse-riding champion in Israel. Doron Matalon ( he, דורון מטלון, born 20 May 1993) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Israel 2014 for Miss Universe 2014. She represented her country at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant. Personal life Doron Matalon was born and raised in Beit Aryeh-Ofarim. Her father is a manager at IBM and her mother is a kindergarten teacher. The meaning of her name is "gift" in both Hebrew and Greek. She served as a sergeant in the Northern Command of the Israeli army. In December 2011, Matalon gained national publicity after a sex segregation incident on a Jerusalem bus. She said a 45-year-old Haredi man demanded she move to the back of the bus, threatening her and calling her a prostitute, but she refused. Miss World 1998, the 48th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 26 November 1998 at the Lake Berjaya Mahé Resort in Mahé Island, Seychelles. 86 delegates from around the world competed for the crown. Ronan Keating, then lead singer of Boyzone, and MTV's Eden Harel hosted the event.
