Avery Warley
Avery Rochelle Warley-Talbert (born May 17, 1987), is an American professional basketball player. After playing college basketball for Liberty University, Warley-Talbert was signed by the Phoenix Mercury of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA as an undrafted free agent in . She has also played for the Chicago Sky, New York Liberty, Atlanta Dream, and San Antonio Stars. She is currently a free agent after being waived by the Las Vegas Aces on August 8, 2020. USA Basketball Born in Washington D.C., Warley was selected to represent the US at the 2011 Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The USA team lost their first two games in close contests, losing to Argentina 58–55 and Puerto Rico 75–70. The team rebounded to win their games against Mexico and Jamaica, but the 2–2 overall record left them in seventh place. Warley averaged 2.5 points per game. The 2020 Las Vegas Aces season is the franchise's 24th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the 3rd year the franchise was based in Las Vegas. The regular season tipped off on July 26, 2020 versus the Chicago Sky. This WNBA season would’ve had an all-time high 36 regular-season games. However, the plan for expanded games was put on hold on April 3, when the WNBA postponed its season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under a plan approved on June 15, the league began a shortened 22-game regular season at IMG Academy, without fans present, which started on July 24. The 2020 WNBA season was the 24th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Washington Mystics were the defending champions. 2019 New York Liberty Season
The 2019 WNBA season was the 23rd season for the New York Liberty franchise of the WNBA. The Liberty opened the regular season at home on May 24 versus the Indiana Fever. The Liberty started slowly, losing their first four games of the season. Winning five of their next eight games took them to a 5–7 record at the end of June. The team had plenty of reasons to be positive, as three of those five wins came against eventual playoff teams. The Liberty won their first two games in July to put together a four game win streak and reach a .500 record. However, they could not keep their momentum, losing three of their last four games in July. August proved a difficult month as the team only won one game. The 2016 WNBA season was the 20th season for the San Antonio Stars franchise of the WNBA. The season tipped-off at home against the Atlanta Dream on May 14, 2016. The season was their fourteenth for the franchise in San Antonio. The Stars' season got off to a rocky start as they lost their first three games of the season.
