''Avengers World'' is an ongoing comic series that was published by Marvel Comics as part of the third wave of ''Marvel NOW!'', from January 2014 until July 2015. Publication history Spencer said, "What the book is all about is really in the title. This is a book about geography. It's about what Marvel Earth looks like now. Obviously we've seen the Avengers (comics), Avengers make a pretty big statement about this world being under their protection and them being the representatives of our world. So it felt like it was time to do a book about what that planet looks like; not just Marvel New York City, New York or Marvel Space, but what does Marvel Europe, Asia and Africa look like right now? John Cassaday
Johnny Mac Cassaday (; December 14, 1971 – September 9, 2024) was an American comic book artist, writer, and television director. He was best known for his work on the critically acclaimed ''Planetary (comics), Planetary'' with writer Warren Ellis, where his art style conveyed a sense of realism despite that book's fantastical settings. His later works included ''Astonishing X-Men'' with Joss Whedon, ''Captain America (comic book), Captain America'' with John Ney Rieber, and ''Star Wars (2015 comic book), Star Wars'' with Jason Aaron. The Star Brand is the name of a number of similar objects of power in the world of the Marvel Comics. The name "Star Brand" is also often adopted by the wielders of these objects. Three of these Star Brands have been prominently featured in series published by Marvel. The original Star Brand is a black star-shaped tattoo-like mark that first appeared in the comic book series ''Star Brand'', published by Marvel Comics as a part of its New Universe imprint (trade name), imprint from 1986 to 1989.
