Avan Aval Adhu
''Avan Aval Adhu'' () is a 1980 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language film directed by Muktha Srinivasan and written by Visu. The film stars Sivakumar, Lakshmi (actress), Lakshmi, Sripriya and Thengai Srinivasan. Dealing with the then-groundbreaking issue of Surrogacy, surrogate pregnancy, it is based on the story ''Oru Singam Muyalaagirathu'' () by Sivasankari. The film was released on 11 April 1980. Plot Ramu and Lavanya are a childless couple. Lavanya is forced to remove her ovaries because of a complication and is unable to conceive. So she hires Menaka as a surrogate mother who is impregnated by Ramu through artificial insemination, without knowing who the father is. Lavanya houses Menaka in a secluded home in an attempt to keep her pregnancy a secret and preventing Ramu and Menaka knowing each other. Muktha Srinivasan
Muktha Srinivasan (1929 – 2018) was an Indian film director and producer. Personal life V. Srinivasan was born in Malapuram on 31 October 1929 in a Tamil Brahmin family. His parents were Venkatachariar and Chellamma. His elder brother is Muktha Ramaswamy and his sister is Revathi. He married Prema in 1951. He has three children Muktha S. Sundar, also a director, Mukhta Ravi and Maya. Muktha srinivasan is the founder of Muktha films. His elder grandson Suseendran who acted in movies like Kashmora and Echarikkai is now the Managing director of Muktha films. Death He died peacefully on 29 May 2018 at the age of 88 in his residence in T.Nagar, Chennai due to old age after suffering from various health issues. Career V. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Kalki Krishnamurthy also edited the magazine, which is published on a weekly basis. During his term the magazine was much more respected due to its quality.
