Autostrada A4 (Poland)
The A4 autostrada in Poland is a long east–west motorway that runs through southern Poland, along the northern side the Sudetes and Carpathian Mountains, from the Polish-German border at Zgorzelec-Görlitz (connecting to the A4 autobahn), through Wrocław, Opole, Gliwice, Katowice, Kraków, Tarnów and Rzeszów, to the Polish-Ukrainian border at Korczowa- Krakovets (connecting to the M10). It is a part of European route E40. The motorway between Wrocław and Kraków () was constructed between 1976 and 2005. The part from Mysłowice to Kraków is tolled (see Tolls). The section from the German border to Wrocław (, not tolled) was constructed between 2002 and 2009, in large part as repavement of the old concrete motorway constructed from 1933 to 1937 (then the territory of Nazi Germany). Rzeszów ( , ) is the largest city in southeastern Poland. It is located on both sides of the Wisłok River in the heartland of the Sandomierz Basin. Expressway S19 or express road S19 ( pl. ''droga ekspresowa S19'') is a Polish freeway which has been planned to run from the border crossing with Belarus in Kuźnica, through Białystok, Lublin and Rzeszów, to the border with Slovakia in Barwinek, where it will connect with the future R4 expressway. The road is part of the Via Carpatia route. Its total planned length is . As of 2025, the 189.5-km long section between Lublin and Rzeszów (including bypasses of both cities) is complete. It is projected that all the remaining parts of the road should be opened to traffic between 2025 and 2029, with the exception of two mountain tunnels near the border with Slovakia which are expected to be finished by 2031. Expressway S52 (Poland)
Expressway S52 is a Polish highway under construction with a planned length of , located in the Silesian and Lesser Poland voivodeships. Upon completion it will connect the border of the Czech Republic in Cieszyn (along with the D48 motorway) with Kraków. The section from the border with the Czech Republic to Bielsko-Biała is completed. From Bielsko-Biała to Głogoczów (joining with the dual-carriageway national road 7 towards Kraków) the road is in preparation, planned to get completed in 2031. The separate section also numbered S52 is the northern bypass of Kraków, which is completed since 2024. Expressway S7 (Poland)
Expressway S7 or express road S7 () is a Polish highway which has been planned to run from Gdańsk on the Baltic coast through Elbląg, Warsaw, Radom, Kielce and Kraków to Rabka near the border with Slovakia. It is being constructed partially by upgrading national road 7 and partially on a new alignment. The construction is co-financed by the European Union funding. The total planned length of S7 is , of which has been built and further is under construction as of December 2024. Route The section between Gdańsk and Płońsk (275 km) is completed.
