''Autopilot Off'' is the first major label EP by the punk pop, punk band Autopilot Off. It is the band's first release with the label Island Records and was produced by the then Sum 41 manager and producer Greig Nori. This was the first album by the band to feature their symbol - the split-in-half padlock - on the album cover art, which would then go on to feature on all of their future-album's cover art. Autopilot Off
Autopilot Off is a punk rock band from Orange County, New York composed of Chris Hughes (guitar), Chris Johnson (guitar/vocals), Phil Robinson (drums) and Rob Kucharek (bass). History Autopilot Off formed in 1996 under the name Cooter. They slowly gained popularity by doing live shows throughout the 90s while sharing the stage with more popular bands such as MxPx, Goldfinger (band), Goldfinger, Sum 41, Yellowcard and H2O (American band), H2O. Cooter released a split with Slick Shoes on May 23, 2000. They eventually recorded their first full-length album, ''Looking Up (Autopilot Off album), Looking Up''. In 2000 the band was involved in a bitter lawsuit with the Mississippi punk rock band The Cooters, who own the trademark to the name Cooter. The New York band changed their name to Autopilot Off in April 2001, and settled out of court in 2002. Metalworks Studios
Metalworks Studios is a music recording studio in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1978 by Gil Moore of the Canadian rock group, Triumph (band), Triumph. Since 1978, Metalworks Studios has expanded into a six studio facility offering in-house tracking, mixing and mastering, as well as video editing and DVD authoring. Island Records is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. Greig Nori
Greig Andrew Nori (born November 21, 1962) is a Canadian producer and musician from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and is the frontman, co-lead vocalist and guitarist of the pop punk band Treble Charger. In the late 1990s, he began working as a producer with Sum 41 and was their in-house producer and manager until 2004. In 2007, Nori went back to the studio to produce for the pop punk bands Cauterize and Hedley, for their albums ''Disguises'' and ''Famous Last Words'', respectively. Career Nori saw Sum 41 in concert at Jonopalooza in 1996 and convinced the group to lose their original lead vocalist, placing Deryck Whibley on vocals. Nori formed the music artist management company Bunk Rock Entertainment. Sum 41
Sum 41 was a Canadian rock band formed in Ajax, Ontario, in 1996. The band's final lineup consisted of Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Dave Baksh (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jason McCaslin (bass, backing vocals), Tom Thacker (guitars, keyboards, backing vocals), and Frank Zummo (drums, occasional backing vocals).
