Autokinitoviomihania Ellados (Car Industry of Greece) was founded in Athens in 1975 by a group of Greek businessmen, including the owners of the company importing Fiat in Greece. History The new company made a rather ambitious appearance in the Greek press, announcing the introduction and production of a Greek automobile named ''Mini Jeep Scout 127'', a versatile passenger-utility vehicle based on the Fiat 127. The Fiat 127 is a supermini car produced by Italian car manufacturer Fiat Automobiles, Fiat from 1971 to 1983. It was introduced in 1971 as the replacement for the Fiat 850. Carrozzeria Fissore was an Italian coachbuilder located in Savigliano, near Turin (Piedmont). History The firm was founded in by the brothers Antonio, Bernardo, Giovanni, and Costanzo Fissore. Originally they built horsecarts and only later expanded into repairing automobiles and trucks. In 1936 Bernardo took the reins and began constructing special bodies for automobiles, funeral vehicles, mail cars, and small buses. During World War II, Fissore built military vehicles. After the war, private vehicles once again became the focus. In 1947 a Fiat 1100 (1937), Fiat 1100-based estate appeared, called the "Giardinetta". In 1953 Fissore presented the Fiat 1100 TV, a uniquely designed coupé designed by Mario Revelli. Jeep is an American automobile brand, now owned by multi-national corporation Stellantis. NAMCO (National Motor Company of Greece) is a Greek vehicle manufacturer. It was founded in 1972 by the Kontogouris brothers. History The first efforts of the Kontogouris brothers involved attempts to build a light truck called ''Hellas'' in Germany. In 1957, they acquired rights to the production technology of a multi-purpose vehicle developed by Swiss engineer Dr. Wilfried Fahr. In 1961, Kontogouris (Gerasimos, Dimitrios, Leonidas, Petros, Victor-Georgios, and Konstantinos) created their first company (FARCO) in Thessaloniki, Greece, in order to produce a vehicle with a BMW 700 flat-2 engine, that they named the FARMOBIL. The Fiat 126 (Type 126) is a four-passenger, Rear-engine design, rear-engine, city car manufactured and marketed by Fiat over a twenty-eight year production run from 1972 until 2000, over a single generation. Introduced by Fiat in October 1972 at the Turin Auto Show#1972, Turin Auto Show, the 126 replaced the Fiat 500, using major elements from its design. A subsequent iteration, marketed as the ''126 Bis'', used a horizontally oriented, water-cooled engine, and featured a rear hatchback with additional cargo space. Fiat 238
The Fiat 238 was a van produced by the Italian automotive production firm Fiat from 1967 through 1983. The 238 was introduced in 1967 as the logical successor for the Fiat 1100T and had an under seat transverse engine because the model was a front-wheel drive. The van was based on the chassis of the Autobianchi Primula and had a downtuned version of its 1,221 cc petrol engine, producing 43 cv. A year later this engine would be replaced by the 1.197 cc engine of the Fiat 124, with the option of the 1,438 cc engine of the Fiat 124 Special, but then with 46 cv, as also used in the Fiat 241 pickup with rear-wheel drive. Fiat 900T
The Fiat 900T was a small van produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat Automobiles, Fiat between 1976 and 1985, replacing the similar Fiat 850, Fiat 850T. It was first presented in November 1976, at the Turin Motor Show, Turin Show. In the UK, it was sold as the Fiat Citivan. While using many of the 850T's body panels, the roof was taller and the front clip was also redesigned. The taller roof also allowed for a larger front windshield, increasing in height by . The new front had rectangular headlamps and featured a new grille as well. The 900T was equipped with wheels borrowed from the Fiat 126, albeit fitted with wider rims. The bumpers were also redesigned as was the interior, which sported the steering wheel from the contemporary Fiat 127 Special.
