Galaxy Press (formerly Author Services) represents the literary, theatrical and musical works of the late Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, and publishes Hubbard's fiction works and the anthologies of the Writers of the Future contest. History During the Church of Scientology's " corporate sort out" project in the early 1980s, Bridge Publications, Inc. (later renamed to Bridge Publications Incorporated) and Author Services, Inc. (ASI) were both incorporated. Bridge Publications was to be the publisher of the Scientology works as a non-profit corporation, and Author Services was to be the publisher of Hubbard's fiction works as a for-profit corporation. ASI was incorporated in the state of California on October 13, 1981, and was wholly owned by the Church of Spiritual Technology by 1993. Security Trust
Security Trust, also known as Hollywood Savings and Loan, is a historic bank building with attached retail storefronts located at 7051-7055 W Hollywood Blvd., on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue, in Hollywood, California. History Security Trust was built in 1928 by John and Donald Parkinson, the duo responsible for some of Los Angeles's most notable landmarks, including Union Station and the Memorial Coliseum. This building was originally a one-story bank building with three attached one-story storefronts. Sometime after 1980, additional stories were added to the building. Worldcon, officially the World Science Fiction Convention, the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS), is a science fiction convention. The 45th World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), also known as Conspiracy '87, was held on 27 August–1 September 1987 at the Metropole Hotel and The Brighton Centre in Brighton, United Kingdom. The initial chairman was Malcolm Edwards, who had to scale back his involvement several months before the con, and was succeeded by Paul Oldroyd with the title of "coordinator", later recognised as chairman. David Langford
David Rowland Langford (born 10 April 1953) is a British author, editor, and Literary criticism, critic, largely active within the science fiction field. He publishes the science-fiction fanzine and newsletter ''Ansible'' and holds the all-time record for most Hugo Award, Hugo Awards, with a total of 29 wins. Personal background David Langford was born and grew up in Newport, Wales, before studying for a degree in Physics at Brasenose College, Oxford, where he first became involved in science fiction fandom. Langford is married to Hazel and is the older brother of the musician and artist Jon Langford. His first job was as a weapons physicist at the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston, Berkshire from 1975 to 1980.
