Autenbach
Autenbach is a small river in Bavaria, Germany. It flows into the Aschaff in Waldaschaff. The river is known for timber rafting during the start of the 18th century. The river still contains a dam that was used for the timber rafting. The dam was renovated in 2011. Aschaff
The Aschaff (in its uppermost course: ''Kleinaschaff'') is a river in the northern Spessart in Bavaria, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Main and is long. It begins at the Aschaffquelle near Waldaschaff. Loosely translated the name Aschaff means " ash water". The largest tributary is the Laufach. The river flows mostly parallel to the Bundesautobahn 3 (Motorway). Waldaschaff is a community in the Aschaffenburg district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany. Geography Location The community lies at the threshold of the High Spessart (range), roughly 15 km from Aschaffenburg and roughly 65 km from Frankfurt am Main. Timber rafting is a method of transporting felled tree trunks by tying them together to make rafts, which are then drifted or pulled downriver, or across a lake or other body of water.
