Austro AE300
The Austro Engine E4 (marketed as the AE 300) is a liquid-cooled, inline, four-cylinder, four-stroke, aircraft diesel engine. The engine is manufactured by Austro Engine, an Austrian-based company and subsidiary of Diamond Aircraft Industries. Development The engine is based on the Mercedes-Benz OM640 road Diesel engine. Following Diamond's "General Aviation Single Point of Contact" strategy, Austro Engine started to design a new engine for use on Diamond products in 2005. Diamond DA62
The Diamond DA62 is a five- to seven-seat, twin-engine light aircraft produced by Diamond Aircraft Industries and first announced in March 2012. Initially designated as the DA52, the first prototype flew on in April 2012 after six months of development. In June 2014 the production aircraft was redesignated as the DA62. European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification was granted in April 2015 and American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification was granted in February 2016. Time between overhauls (abbreviated as TBO or TBOH) is the manufacturer's recommended number of running hours or calendar time before an aircraft engine or other component requires overhaul. On rotorcraft, many components have recommended or mandatory TBOs, including main rotor blades, tail rotor blades and gearboxes. For engines, the time between overhauls is generally a function of the complexity of the engine and how it is used. EN 590 is a standard published by the European Committee for Standardization that describes the physical and chemical properties that all automotive diesel fuel must meet if it is to be sold in the European Union and several other European countries.
