The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) is a Christian-conservative advocacy organisation based in Canberra. Structure The ACL is registered as a public company limited by guarantee and files political expenditure returns with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). Funding comes mostly from individuals but names are not disclosed by the organisation. It has no political affiliation and states it supports Christian values regarding faith. Eternity House, the Deakin, Australian Capital Territory, headquarters of ACL, is registered as a separate not-for-profit entity. Staff Jim Wallace was the managing director of ACL from 2000 to 2013. Lyle Shelton (lobbyist)
Lyle Shelton is an Australian politician and lobbyist who has served as the national director of the Family First Party since May 2022. Shelton previously served as managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) from 2013 to 2018, and was one of the leaders of the "No" campaign in the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey. In 2018, he resigned from the ACL to become the federal communications director of the Australian Conservatives. Early life Lyle Shelton was born in South Burnett, Queensland. Career Shelton was at one time the youth pastor on the staff of Toowoomba City Church. He served on Toowoomba City Council from 2000 to 2006. Cory Bernardi (born 6 November 1969) is an Australian conservative political commentator and former politician. He was a Senator for South Australia from 2006 to 2020, and was the leader of the Australian Conservatives, a minor political party he founded in 2017 but disbanded in 2019. Matt Canavan
Matthew James Canavan (born 17 December 1980) is an Australian politician. He was elected to the Australian Senate representing the state of Queensland at the 2013 federal election for the term beginning 1 July 2014.
