Terry Wilkinson
Terry Wilkinson (1931–2013) was an Australian jazz pianist. Career Terry Wilkinson was taught piano from age six and began playing piano professionally aged 11, when he would appear on the radio as a regular guest. He began leading big bands while he was still at school, aged 16. He studied piano, theory and the history of music at the NSW Conservatorium, and supported American artists when they toured Australia, such as Artie Shaw, Buddy Rich, Nancy Wilson, and Sammy Davis Jr. Wilkinson was a member of the Australian All Stars, who recorded two albums, and had a residency at the Sky Lounge in Sydney. Freddy Logan
Frederick "Freddy" Logan (born Frederick Christian Loggen; 8 April 1930 – May 2003) was a Jazz musician who played the double bass. Career After learning bass during his teens, Freddy Logan became a professional musician in 1948, playing in local bands until he joined the Pia Beck Trio in 1949. The trio toured England and the Netherlands before Freddy left the group. Logan returned to England in 1953 to study at Guildhall School of Music, and continued playing jazz in London where he worked with Kenny Graham, Harry Klein and Derek Smith. In 1956 he moved to Sydney, Australia, where he hosted his own radio program ''Jazz For Pleasure'' and started the Jazz II club. Don Burrows
Donald Vernon Burrows (8 August 1928 – 12 March 2020) was an Australian jazz and swing musician who played clarinet, saxophone and flute. Life and career Donald Vernon Burrows was born on 8 August 1928, the only child of Vernon and Beryl and attended Bondi Public School. In 1937 a visiting flutist and teacher ( Victor McMahon) inspired him to start learning the flute. He began on a B-flat flute which he later played at Carnegie Hall and the Newport Jazz Festival. By 1940 he was captain of the Metropolitan Schools Flute Band and began entering talent quests. By 1942, aged 14, Burrows had begun playing clarinet and quit school. He began appearing at Sydney jazz clubs, and appeared on ''The Youth Show'', a Macquarie Radio show. In 1944 he was invited to play and record with George Trevare's Australians. Make Ours Music
''Make Ours Music'' was an Australian music television series which aired from 1958 to circa 1961 on ABC. Produced in Sydney, it also aired in Melbourne. Originally a half-hour series, it later expanded to an hour. ''Make Ours Music'' featured a mix of live songs and dance numbers. The producer of the series was James Upshaw, who also produced series like '' Hit Parade'' (1956–1959) and ''The Lorrae Desmond Show'' (1960–1964). The latter occupied the time slot of ''Make Ours Music'' for some time in 1960. The archival status of the series is unknown. Though 16mm film copies ("telerecordings", also known as kinescope recordings) were likely made so it could be shown in Melbourne, it is not known how many of these still exist.
