Austin Davis (American Football)
Austin Davis (born June 2, 1989) is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was a member of the St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans. He played college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, where he began his career as a walk-on, he redshirted the 2007 season and became the starter a year later. He ended the year with a combined total of 15 school records for both game and single-season marks and led the Golden Eagles to a bowl game victory in the 2008 New Orleans Bowl, being named to the freshman all-C-USA team. Davis later served as the offensive coordinator for the Auburn Tigers but left the program within two months and coaching no games. Austin Richard Davis (born February 3, 1993), nicknamed "Big Fudge", is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, and Minnesota Twins. He was selected by the Phillies in the 12th round of the 2014 MLB draft and made his major league debut for them in 2018. Early life Davis was born to Rick and Jeri Davis and grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was born. He attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, where he played baseball and was a first team All-Region and All-City. Davis attended California State University, Bakersfield, and he played college baseball for the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners and majored in business. In two seasons with the Roadrunners, Davis posted a 5–10 win–loss record with a 4.56 earned run average (ERA) and 95 strikeouts over 28 appearances (28 starts).
