Aurora Provincial Board
The Aurora Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Aurora. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into two districts, each sending four members to the provincial board; the electorate votes for four members, with the four candidates with the highest number of votes being elected. The vice governor is the ''ex officio'' presiding officer, and only votes to break ties. The vice governor is elected via the plurality voting system province-wide. Reynante Amansec Tolentino (born March 29, 1951) is a Filipino politician and civil engineer who briefly served as Governor of Aurora from February to October 2024. He is a member of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP). Political career Tolentino was elected as a provincial board member of Aurora from its 2nd district in 2016. He lost his reelection bid in 2019 but regained the position upon election in 2022. Tolentino later became the province's vice governor after the disqualification of Gerardo Noveras on administrative charges in July 2023. In February 2024, he became acting governor after Christian Noveras was suspended. He became full-time governor after Noveras was finally ordered dismissed by the Ombudsman in April 2024. Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel (; 15 November 1891 – 14 October 1944), popularly known as The Desert Fox (, ), was a German ''Generalfeldmarschall'' (field marshal) during World War II.
