Mukhram Sharma
Mukhram Sharma (29 May 1909 – 25 April 2000) was an Indian film lyricist, script, and story writer. He is best known for winning the first Filmfare Award in the Best Story category in 1955 for the film '' Aulad''. His notable works as story writer include '' Vachan'' (1955), '' Sadhna'' (1958), ''Talaq'' (1958) and '' Dhool Ka Phool'' (1959). Balraj Sahni
Brigadier Balraj (born Balasegaram Kandiah) was a senior commander of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Early life Balraj was the fifth and youngest child of Kandiah and Kannagias. He received his primary education in Kokkuthoduwaai (in Mullaitheevu district) and his secondary education in Pulmoddai (in Trincomalee district). After he passed his O levels, his parents wanted to send him to university; however, due to civil unrest throughout the country they were unable to do so. Balraj was fluent in Tamil, Sinhala and English. Although none of his siblings joined the Tamil Tigers, some of his nephews and nieces did. Nirupa Roy
Nirupa Roy (born Kokila Kishorechandra Bulsara; 4 January 1931 – 13 October 2004) was an Indian actress who had appeared in Hindi films. Noted for her portrayals of tragedy and sorrow, Roy was known for her acting ability, and was uncharitably called the "Queen of Misery" in Hindi film circles. Roy was active from 1946 to 1999, and was best known for playing motherly roles. Usha Kiran (22 April 1929 – 9 March 2000) was an Indian actress. In a career spanning over four decades, she acted in over 50 Hindi and Marathi films, notably '' Daag'' (1952), '' Patita'' (1953), '' Baadbaan'' (1954), ''Chupke Chupke'' (1975), '' Mili'' (1975) and '' Bawarchi'' (1972). Sardar Malik
Sardar Malik (13 January 1930 – 27 January 2006) was an Indian Hindi film music director and score composer. Early life and career Sardar Malik was born on 13 January 1930 in Kapurthala, Punjab, British India. He first was a student at Uday Shankar's India Cultural Centre in Almora, Uttarkhand to learn dancing and singing. He became a trained choreographer in Kathakali, Manipuri and Bharatnatyam there. While at this institute, he also learned music from Ustad Allauddin Khan who also worked at the same centre. Later he came to Bollywood in the late 1940s and was the music director for over 600 songs. Shamshad Begum (Hindi: शमशाद बेगम, IAST: ''Śamśād Bēgam''; 14 April 1919 – 23 April 2013) was an Indian singer who was one of the first playback singers in the Hindi film industry. Mubarak Begum (5 January 1936 18 July 2016) was an Indian vocalist who sang in the Hindi and Urdu languages. She was a playback singer in Bollywood films during the 1950s and 1960s.
