	Auktyon Auktyon (russian: АукцЫон, ) is a Russian alternative rock band from Saint Petersburg. The band was founded by Leonid Fyodorov at the Polytechnic Institute of Leningrad. Though they originally played post-punk and new wave, the group came to be influenced by European and Central Asian folk music, avant-garde jazz, the poetry of Russian futurist Velimir Khlebnikov, and aspects of Russian high culture and literature. Auktyon was particularly popular from 1987 through 1995, but became less active in the late 1990s when Fyodorov began to produce records for Leningrad. The group continues to play together and to release new albums. 	Zhopa (album) Zhopa (russian: Жопа, literally: Buttocks, ''arse'') is a studio album by Auktyon, recorded in 1990. Issues of this album In 1990, the album was released in a truncated form and was called "Duplo". It got its current name in the 1992 CD reissue of this album. The album was named after the body-part that Auktyon dancer Vladimir Veselkin displayed regularly during performances by the band during their 1989 overseas tour which received media attention within the USSR. On December 30, 2011, it was reissued with bonuses: recordings of Auktyon's performances at the Theater on Fontanka (01/20/1990) and in Togliatti (09/08/1990), at the VIII Leningrad Rock Festival (03/12/1991) and the Rock of Pure Water festival in Volgograd (05/22/1990). 	Leningrad (band) Leningrad (russian: Ленинград), also known as Gruppirovka Leningrad (russian: Группировка "Ленинград") and Bandformirovanie Leningrad (russian: Бандформирование "Ленинград"), is a popular Russian rock band from Saint Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), led by Sergey "Shnur" Shnurov. Composed of 14 members, the band was founded in the late 1990s. Leningrad worked in Gypsy punk style and soon became notorious for vulgar lyrics (including much Russian mat) and celebration of drinking. As a result, most radio stations initially avoided the band, which did not stop Leningrad's growing popularity, partly for purely aesthetic reasons, such as the rich brass sound.
