Augustus S. Johnson was a Michigan politician. On November 4, 1844, Johnson was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, where he represented the Oakland County district from January 6, 1845 to March 24, 1845. The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower house of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 members, each of whom is elected from constituencies having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the 2010 U.S. Census. Springfield Charter Township is a charter township of Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 13,940. The township was named for the numerous springs in the area. Communities The Township has no incorporated villages and five unincorporated communities within: *Andersonville, first known as the "Husted Settlement" after the Hustead family who moved there in 1833, is at around the junction of Andersonville and Big Lake roads. It became known as the "Anderson Settlement" after the Anderson family purchased and settled there in 1836. A post office named "Andersonville" was established in 1895, which operated until 1912.
