Augusta, Western Australia
Augusta is a town on the south-west coast of Western Australia, where the Blackwood River flows into Flinders Bay. It is the nearest town to Cape Leeuwin, on the furthest southwest corner of the Australian continent. In the it had a population of 1,091; by 2016 the population of the town was 1,109 (excluding East Augusta). The town is within the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River local government area, and is in the Leeuwin Ward. It is connected by public transport to Perth via Transwa coach service SW1. Augusta Charter Township is a charter township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 7,083 at the 2020 census. Communities * Eaton Mills is a historic community located within the township. It was originally called Conova Corners and was a lumber settlement dating back to the 1850s The hamlet was renamed Eaton Mills after the family that ran the lumber mill for many years. It was given a post office that operated only briefly from June 24, 1878 until September 30, 1879. Eaton Mills was located near the corner of modern day roads of Willis and Rawsonville. The local lumber mills provided the planks for the road from Detroit to Ypsilanti. They were harvested from the local white oak trees. Augusta is a city in Butler County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 9,256. It is located east of Wichita along U.S. Route 54 / 400 highway. History 19th century The confluence of the Whitewater River and the Walnut River was originally inhabited by Osage people, who found the land ideal for hunting and fishing. In 1868, C. N.
