Auca (titular Diocese)
Oca (Latin Auca) is a former bishopric in the province of Burgos, Castile and León region (northern Spain), the predecessor of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Burgos, and presently a Latin titular see of the Catholic Church. Its Latin adjective is ''Aucen(sis)''. Visigothic see The diocese was established at Oca, now Villafranca Montes de Oca, no later than 589, when its bishop Asterius attended the Third Council of Toledo, but vaguer notices may trace it back as early as the 3rd century. Huaorani
The Waorani, Waodani, or Huaorani, also known as the Waos, are an Indigenous people from the Amazonian Region of Ecuador (Napo Province, Napo, Orellana Province, Ecuador, Orellana, and Pastaza Provinces) who have marked differences from other ethnic groups from Ecuador. The alternate name ''Auca'' is a pejorative exonym used by the neighboring Quechua people, Quechua natives, and commonly adopted by Spanish-speakers as well. Operation Auca was an attempt by five Evangelicalism, Evangelical Christianity, Christian missionary, missionaries from the United States to bring Christianity to the Waorani people, Waorani or Huaorani people of the Amazon Rain forest, rain forest of Ecuador. The Waorani, also known pejoratively as Aucas (a modification of , the Quechua language, Quechua word for 'Wiktionary:savage#Noun, savages'), were an isolated tribe known for their violence, against both their own people and outsiders who entered their territory. With the intention to evangelism, evangelize the previously Uncontacted peoples, uncontacted Waorani, the missionaries began making regular flights over Waorani settlements in September 1955, dropping gifts, which were reciprocated. Sociedad Deportiva Aucas (), also known as "Papá Aucas", is a football club based in Quito, Ecuador. They play in the top tier of Ecuadorian football and have spent the majority of their history in the top-flight Serie A. The team is amongst the most popular in the city because of its long history in the Serie A. The team also has a major rivalry in L.D.U.
