Aubrey Independent School District is a public school district based in Aubrey, Texas (USA). In addition to Aubrey, the district also serves the city of Krugerville and a portion of Cross Roads and Providence Village. The district operates one high school, Aubrey High School. List Of Education Service Centers In Texas
In order to serve the numerous individual school districts and charter schools in Texas, Texas Education Agency (TEA) is divided into 20 regions, each containing an Educational Service Center, or ESC. These are also sometimes called Regional Service Centers, or RSC. The ESC's serve as a liaison between the districts and TEA headquarters, providing support to the districts such as conducting workshops and technical assistance. Aubrey is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,006 at the 2020 census. History Aubrey, the town, was officially founded 1867, when Civil War veteran Lemuel Noah Edwards (1838–1910) built the second frame house there. Edwards eventually gave each of his 10 children a lot on which to build a home. The Edwards family was instrumental in several civil developments. Aubrey High School
Aubrey High School is a public high school located in the city of Aubrey, Texas, USA and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Aubrey Independent School District located in east central Denton County and serves students in Aubrey and Krugerville. In 2015, the school was rated " Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. The school, much like others in Denton County, has experienced rapid growth. In 2021 the school graduated its second largest class in the institution's history. This lead to the school moving from UIL Conference 2A to 3A in 2010, and moving again to 4A in 2014 after the UIL created Conference 6A. Athletics Aubrey's athletics compete in UIL Conference 4A.
