Aubigny-en-Laonnois
Aubigny-en-Laonnois is a commune in the department of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France. Geography Aubigny-en-Laonnois is located some 18 km south-east of Laon and 35 km north-west of Rheims. It can be accessed by main highway D1044 which runs along and forms most of the western border of the commune. Access to the village is by the D907 road from Courtrizy-et-Fussigny in the north, changing to the D902 at the commune border and continuing south to the village and south again through the commune to join the D1044. The D90 also runs east from the D1044 forming part of the northern border of the commune and continuing to Saint-Erme-Outre-et-Ramecourt Saint-Erme-Outre-et-Ramecourt () is a commune in the Aisne department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. Arrancy
Arrancy () is a commune in the department of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France. Geography Arrancy is located some 15 km southeast of Laon and 40 km northwest of Reims. It can be accessed by the D1044 road from Festieux in the north which passes down the eastern edge of the commune and continues south to Corbeny. The village is accessed by the D88 which runs west from the D1044 to the village then continues west to Ployart-et-Vaurseine. There are also some country roads which access the commune. The commune is mixed farmland and forest with no other hamlets or villages other than Arrancy. ''La Bièvre'' stream rises northeast of the village and flows southwest to the south of the village then west into the Ailette Lake. Aizelles
Aizelles () is a commune in the department of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France. Geography Aizelles is some 20 km southeast of Laon and 30 km northwest of Reims. There are only three access roads to the commune: the D889 running north from Corbeny to the town of Aizelles, the D89 running east from the D1044 from the western side of the commune, and the D88 which enters from the northeast of the commune. All three roads intersect in the village of Aizelles. The commune is mostly farmland; however, there is a large forest, the Bois de Berrieux, to the east of the town. This forest occupies about a quarter of the land area of the commune. Charleville-Mézières is located on the banks of the river Meuse. History Charleville and Mézières were originally separate communities on opposite banks of the Meuse, about from one another. Charleville was founded by Charles Gonzaga, the 8th duke of Mantua, in 1606. Its inhabitants were known as Carolopolitans (' or ''Carolopolitaines''). It was prosperous from the 17th century, although its fortifications were dismantled under LouisXIV in 1687 and it passed into French hands in 1708. It was plundered by the Prussians in 1815. Saint-Quentin (; pcd, Saint-Kintin; nl, label=older Dutch, Sint-Kwintens ) is a city in the Aisne department, Hauts-de-France, northern France. It has been identified as the ''Augusta Veromanduorum'' of antiquity. It is named after Saint Quentin of Amiens, who is said to have been martyred there in the 3rd century. Administration Saint-Quentin is a sub-prefecture of Aisne. Although Saint-Quentin is by far the largest city in Aisne, the capital is the third-largest city, Laon.
