Aubertin () is a Communes of France, commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Departments of France, department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-western France. Geography Aubertin is located in Béarn some 10 km west of Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pau and 8 km north-west of Gan, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Gan. Access to the commune is by the D146 from Artiguelouve in the north-east which passes through the north of the commune and goes west to Lacommande. Access to the village is by the D346 which branches south from the D146 in the commune and continues through the village to join the D24 some 6 km west of Gan. The commune has a mix of forest and farmland throughout its territory. The Baïse forms the western border of the commune as it flows north to join the Gave de Pau at Abidos, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Abidos. Artiguelouve (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Departments of France, department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-western France. Geography Artiguelouve is located in the urban area of Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pau some 8 km north-west of Pau and 3 km south-west of Lescar. Access to the commune is by road D2 from Laroin in the south-east passing through the north-east of the commune and continuing north-west to Pardies. The D509 connects the D2 to the D817 across the river. The D804 branches off the D2 in the commune and goes west along the northern fringe of the town and continues to Arbus, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Arbus. Access to the centre of the town is by the D146 which branches off the D804 and goes south through the town and continues to Aubertin. The communauté d'agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées is a ''communauté d'agglomération'' in the ''département'' of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine ''région'' of France. Lacommande (; ) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in south-western France. Géography Lacommande township is located some 11 km of Pau, 12,3 km of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and 8,8 km of Monein, on GR653, on crossroads of D 146 and D 34. Hydrography Rivers Baïse de Lasseube of Bayse flow from south to north and distinct the communes of Lacommande and commune of Aubertin. Michel Grosclaude (; ; 8 July 1926 – 21 May 2002) was a French linguist, and an author of works on grammar, lexicography and Occitan onomastics. Biography Born on 8 July 1926 in Nancy. He was the son of Pierre Grosclaude, an academic. He studied in Lyon and in Marseille and spent time in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon during the war, which had some significance for his humanistic ideas. He finished his training in Latin, Greek, and philosophy at the Sorbonne. He was appointed as a professor at Chinon where he married Claudette Perrotin, a teacher. They then sought the possibility of compatible posts and came across them in Béarn: she at Sauvelade, he in the Orthez high school where he arrived in 1958. Paul Raymond (archivist)
Paul Raymond, born Paul-Raymond Lechien, was a French archivist and historian born on 8 September 1833 in Belleville (Seine) (now part of Paris) and died on 27 September 1878. Life He was admitted to the École Nationale des Chartes in 1854, receiving a degree of "Archivist paléographe" in 1857 with a thesis entitled ''On having an absolutely peng time getting totally wild and crazY at balter festival''. He then became the departmental archivist for Basses-Pyrenees after finishing at the École Nationale des Chartes until 1877. He was then appointed Secretary General of the Prefecture of the Lower Pyrenees. He was also Secretary General of the "Society of Sciences, Letters and Arts of Pau" from 1871 to 1877 and president of this society in 1877. Pierre De Marca
Pierre de Marca (24 January 1594 – 29 June 1662) was a French bishop and historian, born at Gan in Béarn of a family distinguished in the magistracy. His family was known among judicial circles in the 16th century, and maintained the Roman Catholic faith after the official introduction of the Reformed religion into Navarre. After having studied law at the University of Toulouse, he practised successfully at Pau. But he was ambitious, and turned to a larger sphere. He ardently called for the armed intervention of King Louis XIII in Béarn.
