Au Rêve
''Au Rêve'' is the second studio album by French electronic duo Cassius, released in 17 September 2002 by Virgin Records in Europe and Astralwerks in the United States. Writing, production and content The album was written and produced by Cassius members Zdar and Boombass. ''Au Rêve'' is a progression from Cassius' debut album ''1999'' in that it is a more traditional house-oriented effort that uses less sampling and more live vocalists. Collaborators include Jocelyn Brown, Ghostface Killah and Steve Edwards. The Edwards track, " The Sound of Violence", topped the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart. Cassius (band)
Cassius was a French musical duo consisting of producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known as Zdar and Boombass (or sometimes Philippe Zdar and Hubert Boombass). Under its different incarnations the duo is likened to the " French Touch" movement of electronic music in the second half of the 1990s. Members Boombass Hubert Blanc-Francard (; aka Boombass), born 31 March 1967, is a French musician and producer. He is the son of sound engineer Dominique Blanc-Francard and the older brother of the French musician Mathieu Blanc-Francard, better known by his stage name Sinclair. Steve Edwards (singer)
Stephen Neil Edwards, better known by his stage name Steve Edwards, is an English house music singer and songwriter from Sheffield, England. He has collaborated with several house music producers. Biography During the 1990s, Edwards lent his collaborative efforts to British deep house musician, Charles Webster, the most notable being "Future Love", a track released by Presence, one of Webster's pseudonyms. He started appearing as a featured artist on tracks by the Problem Kids. However, Edwards' first mainstream breakthrough was Cassius' " The Sound of Violence". The track, in which he shares credits with the French duo, went to number one on ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 2002. Narcotic Thrust
Narcotic Thrust are an English electronic dance music duo, consisting of producers Stuart Crichton and Andy Morris. The name Narcotic Thrust is an anagram of "Stuart Crichton". Their song "Safe from Harm" hit No. 1 on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart in 2002, featuring the lead vocals of Yvonne John Lewis. It was also the first track released on Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi Records to top the US dance chart. In mid-2004, Narcotic Thrust saw even greater success when their single " I Like It" reached No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart. The band's third single in 2005, called "When the Dawn Breaks", featured Gary Clark (vocalist from the Scottish band Danny Wilson) on vocals. Leroy O'Neil Jackson Jr. (born August 20, 1953), known by his stage name Leroy Burgess, is an American singer, songwriter, keyboard player, recording artist, arranger and record producer. Burgess was a member of Black Ivory and lead vocalist on the majority of their hits in the early 1970s, he made his debut with the group at the age of 16.
