''Docking the Boat'' (, or sometimes: ''To Go Ashore'') is a Sweden, Swedish dark comedy film from 1965 directed by Tage Danielsson. The film stars Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Hans Alfredson, Lars Ekborg and Birgitta Andersson. Monica Zetterlund also performed the theme song. Plot A group of friends are to celebrate the summer on a small island in the Stockholm Archipelago. The plan is to kräftskiva, eat crayfish and drink snaps, a quintessentially Swedish tradition. Some are already in the house on the island (with the food) and the rest of the group arrives by boat (bringing the snaps), but they experience great difficulties while trying to come ashore. Their only neighbor on the island, an eccentric, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood-obsessed, hot-tempered hermit doesn't make the situation better. Tage Danielsson
Tage Ivar Roland Danielsson (; 5 February 1928 – 13 October 1985) was a Swedes, Swedish author, actor, comedian, poet and film director. He worked together with Hans Alfredson in the comedy duo Hasse & Tage. Early life Danielsson was born on 5 February 1928 in Linköping, Sweden, the son of Ivar Danielsson, a bus driver, and his wife Elsa (née Svensson). He passed ''studentexamen'' at Katedralskolan, Linköping, Katedralskolan in Linköping in 1948 and received a Master of Philosophy degree from Uppsala University in 1954. There he got involved in student theatre of Östgöta Nation, Uppsala, Östgöta Nation and became a member of the Juvenalorden, as well as serving as vice president of the Uppsala Student Union. Career After graduation, Danielsson found work at Sveriges Radio in 1955.
