Atos Jiu Jitsu
Atos Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy and competition team started in 2008 by Ramon Lemos and Andre Galvão and headquartered in San Diego, California since 2010. History In October 2008, after the decline of Brasa Academy, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu team to which they both belonged, Ramon Lemos and André Galvão decided to form a competition team with a strong moral foundation based on their Christian faith. The word "Atos" is the Portuguese word for "acts" and is a reference the New Testament Acts of the Apostles. Atos Jiu-Jitsu was established in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil before moving to California in 2010. The team led by multi-time world champion Galvão, quickly grew into one of the strongest teams in Jiu-Jitsu & submission grappling, winning quickly after its establishment 5 black belt World Jiu-Jitsu Championships and producing multiple champion athletes over the years. Luiza Monteiro
Luiza Monteiro (born 23 November 1988) is a Brazilian submission grappler and 2nd degree black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor. She has won gold medals in the Gi at all four major events and in no-gi at three of the four major events. Biography Luiza Monteiro was born on 23 November 1988, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Her family moved to Niterói when she was a baby. Monteiro began training around 13 years old and passed through various schools before receiving her Black Belt in 2010 from Rodrigo Cavaca. Rafael Mendes
Rafael Mendes Godoy (born 1989 in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil) is a six-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) world champion at the black belt level. Rafael, along with his brother Guilherme, are 3rd degree black belts under Ramon Lemos and founders of the academy Art of Jiu-Jitsu. Guilherme Mendes
Guilherme Mendes Godoy is a four-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) world champion at the black belt level. Alongside his brother Rafael Mendes, Guilherme is a 3rd-degree black belt under Ramon Lemos and a competitor for the Art of Jiu-Jitsu team. Josh Hinger
Josh Hinger (born May 28, 1982) is an American submission grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt competitor as well as former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. Hinger is three-time champion at the World No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship and a Bronze Medalist at the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship. Kaynan Casemiro Duarte (born 24 January 1998) is a Brazilian submission grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt competitor.
