''Atlas Drugged'' is the third studio album by Look What I Did. It was released on February 9, 2010 through Modernist Movement. Musical style ''Atlas Drugged'' has been described as a post-hardcore, progressive rock, and pop-punk album with elements of dream pop and psychedelic rock. Before the album's release, vocalist Barry Donegan stated ''Atlas Drugged'' would "be a little more accessible than ''Minuteman''," with a tone he described as "heavy psychiatric drug use being done by everybody." Release and promotion Four music videos were released to promote ''Atlas Drugged''. The first, for "Fade to Daft", was released on January 10, 2010. The video for "I'm Majoring in Psychology" was released the following month on February 9, the same day ''Atlas Drugged'' was released. Look What I Did
Look What I Did is an American band, formed in 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band is known for its intense live show, described by ''Cincinnati CityBeat'' as a "live act capable of unleashing a scary, uncontrolled intensity bordering on dangerous", and oft-satirical eccentric lyrics. History In 2003, the band added a second guitar player, Aaron "Skeet" Childress, formerly of National Green, and moved to Los Angeles. At this time it also released it first recording, an independently recorded, financed and released LP, ''My First Time'', on its own Clockrock Recordings. Psychostick is an American comedy metalcore band from Tempe, Arizona, known for their comical image and usage of humor in their songs and lyrics. Michael Barry Donegan (born November 16, 1978) is an American singer, songwriter, writer, political activist, and political candidate best known as the lead singer of the rock band Look What I Did. He is also working on a side project with Evan Brewer of Animosity which is in the writing stage according to MTV Metal File. He is a candidate for City Council at Large in Nashville, Tennessee, for 2015, although the local Nashville elections are technically non-partisan. Donegan was elected and served as director at large of the Davidson County Republican Party from 2009 to 2011 and currently writes political columns for the website of the national chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus. Dream Pop
Dream pop (also typeset as dreampop) is a subgenre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture as much as pop melody. Common characteristics include breathy vocals, dense productions, and effects such as reverb, echo, tremolo, and chorus. It often overlaps with the related genre of shoegaze, and the two genre terms have at times been used interchangeably. The genre came into prominence in the 1980s through groups associated with the UK label 4AD, most prominently Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, and A.R. Kane. Post-hardcore
Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Like the term " post-punk", the term "post-hardcore" has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Initially taking inspiration from post-punk and noise rock, post-hardcore began in the 1980s with bands like Hüsker Dü and Minutemen. The genre expanded in the 1980s and 1990s with releases by bands from cities which had established hardcore scenes, such as Fugazi from Washington, D.C. as well as groups such as Big Black, Jawbox, Quicksand, and Shellac who stuck closer to post-hardcore's noise rock roots.
