Stock car racing events in the ARCA Menards Series have been held at Iowa Speedway, in Newton, Iowa during numerous seasons and times of year since 2006. ARCA Menards Series The Shore Lunch 150 was an ARCA Menards Series race held at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. The inaugural race was held on October 15, 2006 and was 250 laps in length. Iowa Speedway
Iowa Speedway is a oval short track in Newton, Iowa. Since its inaugural season of racing in 2006, the track has hosted a variety of racing events, including events sanctioned by NASCAR and IndyCar. NASCAR has owned the facility since 2013, with Eric Peterson currently serving as the track's president. Iowa Speedway is served by Interstate 80. As of 2023, the track holds 30,000 seats. Along with the main track, the track complex also features seven road course layouts, including a road course layout that combines parts of the main track along with the infield road course to make a " roval". 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series
The 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series was the 56th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 9, 2008 at Daytona International Speedway with the Daytona ARCA 200 and ended on October 12, 2008 at Toledo Speedway with the Hantz Group 200. Justin Allgaier, driving for his family team, Allgaier Motorsports, won the season championship. Frank Kimmel, who won the series championship in nine of the previous ten seasons, barely lost the title this season to Allgaier. Kimmel had moved from the No. 46 Clement Racing car, which he won all of his titles in, to the No. 44 car for his family team this season. Kimmel's replacement in the No. 46, Matt Carter, would finish third in the championship. The 2013 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards was the 61st season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 16 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real and ended on October 4 with the Kansas ARCA 150. Alexander Michael Warren Bowman (born April 25, 1993) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro (sixth generation)#ZL1, Chevrolet ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 17 Chevrolet Camaro (sixth generation), Chevrolet SS for HMS. Tyler Reed Dillon (born February 27, 1992) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 10 Chevrolet ZL1 for Kaulig Racing. Thomas Hessert III (born May 22, 1986) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He most recently competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 55 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports and the No. 22 Ford Fusion for Chad Bryant Racing. He has raced in the series for over a decade and also made two NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series starts in 2010 for Germain Racing. The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by Re/MAX and Menards was the 58th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 6 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 9 with the American 200 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. Patrick Sheltra, driving for his own team, Sheltra Motorsports, won the championship. This season was notable for the season-opening race, the 2010 Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona, which had the largest audience of any ARCA event in the history of the series with 2.4 million viewers tuning in on the Speed Channel. The high viewership was because Danica Patrick was competing in the event, which was her first stock car start as part of her move from the IndyCar Series to NASCAR.
