Atlas (graffiti Artist)
Rick Ordonez, also known as Atlas and known colloquially as the "kitty cat tagger," is an American graphic designer and graffiti artist from Alhambra, California. In early 2010, Atlas transitioned from creating large ornate graphics to drawing stylized cats, particularly on or near Pasadena Freeway. In April, Andy "Midzt" Rios was wrongly arrested for tagging the cats. On June 30, Atlas was arrested without incident at his home. He was charged with allegedly causing $15,000 in damages and faced up to 90 days in jail and 300 hours of community service. Ordonez was described as a “ cat-lover" who kept cats as pets. ESMoA
ESMoA, The Experimentally Structured Museum of Art, is an experimental museum located in Lawndale, California, US (moved from El Segundo, California, US in 2023). It was founded in 2013 by Eva Sweeney, Brian Sweeney and Bernhard Zünkeler, and is run by Artlab21 Foundation, a non profit 501(c)(3) public charity founded by the Sweeneys. Its stated mission is to reimagine creativity through the display and education of visual arts. Man One (b. Alejandro Poli Jr., 1971, in East Los Angeles) is a Los Angeles-based Mexican-American mural and graffiti artist best known for popularizing West Coast graffiti to an international audience and defining graffiti as a serious contemporary art form. Man One "never saw painting murals or doing graffiti as a ‘ghetto’ influence," but rather as a progression of contemporary art.
