Athol Guy
Athol George Guy (born 5 January 1940) is an Australian musician and former politician who was a member of the Australian folk-pop music group the Seekers, for whom he played double bass and sang. He is recognisable by his black-framed "Buddy Holly" style glasses and, during live performances, often acted as the group's compère. Early life Athol George Guy was born on 5 January 1940 in Colac, Victoria, the son of George Francis Guy ( RAN) and Doris Thelma (née Cole) Guy. Guy was educated at Gardenvale Central School, where he was school captain. He entered Melbourne High School, where he was twice under age athletic champion and an officer in the cadet corps. Colin Ridgway
Colin Edwin Ridgway (19 February 1937 – 13 May 1993) was an American football punter distinguished as being the first Australian to play in the National Football League (NFL). He also competed in the high jump at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Early years In Aussie rules, Ridgway played U19s for Carlton and then in their reserves in 1955. He was a high jumper who competed at the 1956 Olympic Games (where he was the youngest high jumper) and the 1958 Commonwealth Games for Australia. He had also competed in the Australian Open Track and Field Championships from 1955/56 to 1959/60. Ridgway failed to make the 1960 Australian Olympic team and so accepted an offer of a track and field scholarship to Lamar Tech (now Lamar University). Keith Potger
Keith Leon Potger (born 21 March 1941) is an Australian musician, who was a founding member of the Australian folk-pop group the Seekers. He was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and is of Burgher descent. In 1969, Potger and his business partner, David Joseph, co-founded the contemporary English pop group the New Seekers. Potger also records and performs as a solo artist. In September 2014, along with his colleagues in the Seekers, Potger was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO). Tom Springfield (born Dionysius Patrick O'Brien, 2 July 1934 – 27 July 2022) was an English musician, songwriter, and record producer who was prominent in the 1960s folk and pop music scene.
