Atanas Vasilev Chipilov (; born 2 June 1987) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a winger for Vihren Sandanski. Career Youth career Chipilov started training his abilities at Levski Sofia's Youth Academy. He joined Dynamo Kyiv's youth side in 2004. Dynamo Kyiv Chipilov joined Dynamo's second team in 2004 and played in the Ukrainian First League for a few seasons. He was loaned to Bulgarian sides Botev Plovdiv and Chernomorets Burgas during 2007 and 2008. In 2009, Chipilov returned Dynamo Kyiv, where he played for the second team of Dynamo Kyiv. He capped 12 times and scored 4 goals. On 19 June 2009 Chipilov began a trial-period at his former club Levski Sofia. Atanas Kolev (; born July 15, 1967) is a Bulgarian Grandmaster of chess. His highest rating was in July 2012 at 2604 points. Kolev was the coach of the Bulgarian women's national chess team 2004–2006. Atanas Kirov
Atanas Kirov (, 24 September 1946 – 27 January 2017) was a Bulgarian bantamweight weightlifter. He was a three-time World Champion, winning the bantamweight title consecutively from 1973 to 1975. Kirov won four European titles, winning the bantamweight class in 1969 and 1973–75. He also earned a World silver medal in 1969. Kirov set two official world records in the total, with 257.5 kg in September 1973 in Havana, Cuba; and 260.0 kg in February 1974 in his hometown of Burgas. For his achievements he was made an honorary citizen of Burgas. Kirov was responsible for starting the long-line of great Bulgarian lifters, especially in the lighter classes. Atanas Katchamakoff (January 18, 1898 – December 22, 1988) was a Bulgarian-American sculptor, woodcarver, and illustrator known for works that bridged his Bulgarian heritage and his artistic life in America. He gained recognition for his sculptures, his art school in Palm Springs, and his children's book illustrations. Atanas Golomeev ( 5 July 1947 – 12 August 2023) was a Bulgarian professional basketball player and coach. At a height of tall, he played at the center position. He is the most decorated Bulgarian basketball player of all time. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players, in 1991. In 2019, he was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. Atanas Dzhambazki (; born 4 April 1969) is a Bulgarian football manager and former player. Coaching career In 2009 Dzhambazki became manager of Montana, after their former manager Stevica Kuzmanovski was released. He was in charge of the team for two years and managed to stabilize the team and ensure their place in A PFG which was a huge success for Montana.
