Atlantic
The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest of the world's five oceanic divisions, with an area of about . It covers approximately 17% of Earth's surface and about 24% of its water surface area. During the Age of Discovery, it was known for separating the New World of the Americas (North America and South America) from the Old World of Afro-Eurasia (Africa, Asia, and Europe). Through its separation of Afro-Eurasia from the Americas, the Atlantic Ocean has played a central role in the development of human society, globalization, and the histories of many nations. While the Norse were the first known humans to cross the Atlantic, it was the expedition of Christopher Columbus in 1492 that proved to be the most consequential. Columbus's expedition ushered in an age of exploration and colonization of the Americas by European powers, most notably Portugal, Spain, France, and the United Kingdom. From the 16th to 19th centuries, the Atlantic Ocean was the center of both an eponymou ...

Rugby-ball Dorid
''Atagema rugosa'', the rugby-ball dorid, is a species of dorid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Discodorididae. Distribution This species was described from Cap l'Abeille, near Banyuls-sur-Mer, France. It has been reported from the bay of Gallipoli, Italy, in the Mediterranean Sea and around the southern African coast on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula in 10–15 m of water. It is probable that the species known by this name in South Africa is actually a distinct species. Description ''Atagema rugosa'' is described as a beige animal, darker in the lower parts of the mantle. Its tubercles are arranged in crests forming a network. It has five gills, with the three posterior held almost horizontal and the two anterior very small. The South African rugby-ball dorid is a small white nudibranch with black spots, a warty skin and a distinct longitudinal ridge down the middle of its back. It has eight gills arranged around the anus and its rhinophores are ...

Atagema Osseosa
''Atagema osseosa'' is a species of sea slug or dorid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Discodorididae. Distribution This species is found in the tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean, with records at least from the coasts of India and eastern Australia. Description This nudibranch has evolved to mimic closely in appearance the sandy-coloured sponge on which it both lives and feeds off. Ecology Like many nudibranchs, this species feeds on sponges Sponges or sea sponges are primarily marine invertebrates of the animal phylum Porifera (; meaning 'pore bearer'), a basal clade and a sister taxon of the diploblasts. They are sessile filter feeders that are bound to the seabed, and ar .... Alice Pruvot-Fol
Alice Pruvot-Fol (4 August 1873 – 28 March 1972) was a French Opisthobranchia, opisthobranch malacologist. She was the author of many new species, mostly described on the basis of preserved animals. She described a new species (''Nembrotha rutilans'', Pruvot-Fol, 1931) on the basis of a painted illustration in a book by William Saville-Kent (1893) entitled ''The Great Barrier Reef of Australia''. She continued working and naming new species until late in her life. Even in 1962, when she was 89 years old, she named ''Phyllidia pulitzeri''.
