''At Weddings'' is the debut studio album by American musician Tomberlin. It was released on August 10, 2018, under Saddle Creek Records. Critical reception ''At Weddings'' was met with "universal acclaim" reviews from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 82 based on 14 reviews. Aggregator Album of the Year gave the release a 80 out of 100 based on a critical consensus of 17 reviews. Writing on behalf of AllMusic, Marcy Donelson said: "Tomberlin's brittle vocals are accompanied mainly by acoustic guitar with touches of keyboards and strings on an album that features performances by only the songwriter and producer Owen Pallett." Sarah Beth Tomberlin (born April 6, 1995), known mononymously as Tomberlin, is an American contemporary folk musician and singer-songwriter based in Louisville, Kentucky. Early life Tomberlin was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved five different times before her family ended up residing in Fairfield, Illinois, where her father became a preacher at a local Baptist church. At age 16, Tomberlin finished high school and attended college for a short period, before dropping out, when she began writing songs for her first album. Career Tomberlin released her debut studio album in 2018 on Saddle Creek Records, titled '' At Weddings''. The album was positively received by numerous publications. On August 18, 2020, she announced a new EP called ''Projections'', due out October 16, 2020, alongside the release of a Busy Philipps-directed music video for the song "Wasted". Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean. Saddle Creek Records is an American record label based in Omaha, Nebraska. Started as a college class project on entrepreneurship, the label was founded by Mike Mogis and Justin Oberst in 1993 (as Lumberjack Records). Mogis soon turned over his role in the company to Robb Nansel. The label is named after Saddle Creek Road, a major street that cuts through Midtown Omaha, and the beginnings of a scene whose members included Justin's brother Conor Oberst (then a solo artist, currently of Bright Eyes, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Desaparecidos, and Monsters of Folk), Tim Kasher (then of Slowdown Virginia, currently of Cursive and The Good Life), and others.
