Assem Muhammad Qanso (, born 1937) is a Lebanese politician. He is a former leader of the Lebanese Ba'ath Party. Political career Qanso joined the Lebanese Ba'ath in 1953. During the Lebanese war, the Lebanese Ba'ath was divided into two hostile groups: a pro-Iraqi group and a pro-Syrian group. Qanso is staunchly pro-Syrian. Relations between the Kataeb Party and the Ba'ath Party improved when on the orders of Karim Pakradouni (the leader of the Kataeb Party) and Qanso agreed to establish a committee between the two parties to discuss Lebanese and Arab politics. Asım Pars (born Asim Paščanović; 1 April 1976 – 23 September 2024) was a Turkish professional basketball player. He stood 2.13 m tall and played as a center. He had a dual citizenship, Turkish and Bosnian. Personal life and death During the early 2000s, Pars married his girlfriend Amra Mehinović. The couple's first child, son Emre, was born in 2003. Asim Khan (; 14 February 1962 – 25 September 2024) was a Pakistani-born Dutch cricketer. He played 51 times for The Netherlands between 1994 and 2002, including two ICC Trophy tournaments in 1997 and 2001. In the first of those two tournaments he took 7/9 against East & Central Africa, which remains the best bowling figures by a Dutch player in the ICC Trophy.
