Asuka (album)
Rin' is an all-female Japanese Pop music, pop group which combines traditional Japanese musical instruments and style with elements of modern pop and rock music. History The band is a female trio of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music alumni who graduated in 2003. The band made their performing debut in December 2003, at Meguro Gajoen, and in April 2004, their first single, called ''Sakitama'', was released by avex trax. Chie Arai and Mana Yoshinaga play ''koto (musical instrument), koto'', ''shamisen, sangen'', and ''jushichi-gen'', while Tomoca Nagasu plays ''biwa'' and ''shakuhachi''. All three perform vocals. According to the band's website, the name Rin' comes from the English word 'ring', the Japanese word ''Wa'' (和, meaning both 'ring' and 'Japanese-style'), and from the trio's hope to create a 'ring', or circle, of music. Chinese characters are logographs used Written Chinese, to write the Chinese languages and others from regions historically influenced by Chinese culture. AAA (band)
AAA (pronounced Triple A; also an acronym for Attack All Around) is a Japanese pop group signed to the label Avex Trax which debuted in September 2005. The name has the meaning of "challenging everything" or "against all odds", and the group is marketed by their label as a "super performance unit". The group was formed through Avex's own auditions, and originally consisted of five young men and three young women who had appeared in commercials and/or had prior experience as backup dancers for other Japanese stars, such as Ayumi Hamasaki and Ami Suzuki. Kamen Rider Hibiki & The Seven Senki
is the movie for the Japanese tokusatsu production Kamen Rider Hibiki, directed by Taro Sakamoto and written by Toshiki Inoue. The movie's title and plot is a reference to the classic Akira Kurosawa film, the Seven Samurai. This movie marks the debut of Kamen Rider Hibiki's final form prior to its appearance in the show, and also explains the history of the Makamou and Oni war. The film was produced by Ishinomori Productions and Toei, the producers of all the previous television series and films under the Kamen Rider franchise. Following the tradition of all Heisei Kamen Rider movies, it is a double bill with 2005's Super Sentai movie, ''Mahou Sentai Magiranger: The Bride of Infershia''. Iroha
The is a Japanese poem. Originally the poem was attributed to Kūkai, the founder of Shingon Buddhism, but more modern research has found the date of composition to be later in the Heian period (794–1179). The first record of its existence dates from 1079. It is famous because it is a perfect pangram, containing each character of the Japanese syllabary exactly once. Because of this, it is also used as an ordering for the syllabary, in the same way as the ''A'', ''B'', ''C'', ''D''... sequence of the Latin alphabet. Alan Dawa Dolma
Alan Dawa Dolma (born 25 July 1987), known mononymously as alan, is a Tibetan singer from China. She is a graduate of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Academy of Art in Beijing, majoring in vocal music and erhu, which she has played since childhood. Alan is known for a distinctive technique called the "Tibetan wail". During her time in college, Alan released an album titled '' Shengsheng Zui Rulan'' (2005). In early 2006, she auditioned for the Japanese label Avex Trax. In late 2007, Alan moved to Tokyo and made her singles debut with "Ashita e no Sanka". She recorded theme songs to the film '' Red Cliff'' (2008), bringing her wider exposure. Asuka, Yamato
was the Imperial capital of Japan during the Asuka period (538 – 710 AD), which takes its name from this place. It is located in the present-day village of Asuka, Nara Prefecture. Etymology Some of the many theories of what the place was named after include the bird common crossbill, or ''isuka'' in Japanese, or local geological features, e.g. 洲処 (''suka'', meaning sandbar, sandbank or delta) or 崩地 (''asu'') + 処 (''ka'').
