Astrid-Sabine Busse
Astrid-Sabine Busse (born 23 October 1957) is a German educator and politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who is serving as Senator for Education, Youth and Family in the Berlin state government since December 2021. Prior, she was chaired the Association of Berlin School Boards from 2015 to 2021. Early life and educational career Busse started school at the Tempelhofer Feld elementary school in 1965, then attended the Luise-Henriette Gymnasium in Alt-Tempelhof. She studied geography and political science at the Berlin University of Education from 1976 to 1980, completing her teacher training at an elementary school in Marienfelde from 1982 to 1984. She then taught at the Hans-Fallada-Schule special school, among other places, until 1992. Busse was principal of the elementary school in Köllnische Heide from 1992 to 2021. Giffey Senate
The Giffey senate was the state government of Berlin between 2021 and 2023, sworn in on 21 December 2021 after Franziska Giffey was elected as Governing Mayor of Berlin by the members of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin. It was the 28th Senate of Berlin. It was formed after the 2021 Berlin state election by the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Alliance 90/The Greens (GRÜNE), and The Left (LINKE). Excluding the Governing Mayor, the senate comprised ten ministers, called Senators. Three were members of the SPD, three were members of the Greens, three were members of the Left, and one was an independent politician (nominated by the SPD). Marienfelde () is a locality in southwest Berlin, Germany, part of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg borough. The former village, incorporated according to the Greater Berlin Act of 1920, today is a mixed industrial and residential area. Geography The Marienfelde quarter borders the Tempelhof-Schöneberg localities of Mariendorf in the northeast and Lichtenrade in the southeast. Governing Mayor Of Berlin
The Governing Mayor (german: Regierender Bürgermeister) of Berlin is the head of government, presiding over the Berlin Senate. As Berlin is an independent city as well as one of the constituent States of Germany (''Bundesländer''), the office is the equivalent of the Ministers President of the other German states, except the states of Hamburg and Bremen, where the heads of government are called "First Mayor" and "President of the Senate and Mayor", respectively. The title Governing Mayor of Berlin is the equivalent of Lord Mayor in the meaning of an actual executive leader.
