Associazione Calcio Sampierdarenese, commonly known as Sampierdarenese, was an Football in Italy, Italian professional Association football, football List of football clubs in Italy, club from Genoa, Italy. The club was named after Sampierdarena, a populous area of Genoa. Founded in 1899 as the Football section of Società Ginnastica Comunale Sampierdarenese, the club was active up to 1946 when it merged with Associazione Calcio Andrea Doria under the name of Sampdoria. History From 1899 to 1927 The Football section of Società Ginnastica Sampierdarenese was founded on 19 March 1899 by former members of Liguria Foot Ball Club. Stadio (literally, ''Stadium'') is an Italian pop rock band formed in 1977. The members are Giovanni Pezzoli (drums), Roberto Drovandi (bass guitar), Andrea Fornili (guitar), and Gaetano Curreri (vocals and keyboard). Formation and early recordings The group had a long-standing arrangement as an accompanying band to Lucio Dalla, a Bologna-born singer. Stadio had its first notable public appearance in the mid-1970s, when the group appeared on Lucio Dalla's 1975 collaborative album with Roberto Roversi, '':it:w:Anidride Solforosa (album), Anidride Solforosa'' (Italian for "sulfur dioxide"). The 1921–22 Prima Divisione season was won by Pro Vercelli. The CCI Italian Football Championship was formed during the summer of 1921, as a result of a dispute between the ''Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio'' and the main teams. The teams asked for a reduction of the number of participants in the ''First Category''. Vittorio Pozzo, the Italian football coach, developed a plan to accommodate the teams' requests but, after a vote, the plan did not pass: the smaller clubs feared that they would disappear if such a reduction was introduced. This led to the creation of a new Italian football federation, the CCI ('' Italian Football Confederation'', in Italian ''Confederazione Calcistica Italiana''), that organized a championship concurrent with the FIGC championship. The Serie B 1933–34 was the fifth tournament of this competition played in Italy since its creation. This championship was organized with two groups and a final round to determine the promoted team. Teams Viareggio, Perugia and Foggia had been promoted from Prima Divisione, while Bari and Pro Patria had been relegated from Serie A. Atalanta and Pistoiese had been re-elected by the Higher Directory to expand the league. More, during the summer the FIGC decided to abolish with immediate effect the round robin as too expensive, and Catanzaro, Seregno, SPAL, Pavia, Vicenza and Derthona were invited to join. 1931–32 Prima Divisione
The 1931–32 Prima Divisione was the third level league of the 32nd Italian football championship. In 1928, FIGC had decided a reform of the league structure of Italian football. The top-level league was the National Division, composed by the two divisions of Serie A and Serie B. Under them, there were the local championship, the major one being the First Division, that in 1935 will take the name of Serie C. Starting from 1930-31 season, the winners of the six groups of First Division would be admitted to the final rounds, where three tickets of promotion to Serie B were available, whereas the scheduled relegations were annulled by the Federation which expanded the division. Unione Calcio Sampdoria, commonly referred to as Sampdoria (), is an Italian professional football club based in Genoa. The club was formed in 1946 from the merger of two existing sports clubs whose roots can be traced back to the 1890s, Sampierdarenese and Andrea Doria. The 1925–26 Prima Divisione season, its final season, was won by Juventus. Northern League Regular season Udinese and Parma FC had been promoted from the Second Division. Goal average was introduced eliminating the tie-breakers. The Northern League decided to create the Serie A with 16 teams starting in 1926, so the last four teams of each group should be relegated.
