Assaf Kidron
Assaf Kidron ( he, אסף קדרון, born February 12, 1976) is an Israel, Israeli sculptor who works mainly with stone. His creations enhance memorial and religious sites throughout Israel. Biography Assaf Kidron was born to Yosef and Rachel Kidron in Safed. He attended the Ari Elementary School in Safed and the Boy's Town Yeshiva High School in Jerusalem. He also studied at Yeshivat Tiferet Tzvi and Yeshivat Kedumim. He completed his military service in the Netzah Yehuda Battalion. He is married to Nurit Fuchs Kidron. Selected works In 2007, Kidron built a memorial to Joshua on the Giv'ot Olam Farm. At its center is a mosaic floor bearing the inscription: "Joshua son of Nun. Be strong and courageous." The oeuvre consists of seven circles around which are planted sixty olive trees symbolizing various aspects of the story about Joshua's battle of Jericho. Itamar Attack
The Itamar attack, * * also called the Itamar massacre, was a terrorist attack on an Israeli family in the Israeli settlement of Itamar in the West Bank that took place on 11 March 2011, in which five members of the same family were murdered in their beds. The victims were the father Ehud (Udi) Fogel, the mother Ruth Fogel, and three of their six children—Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, the youngest, a three-month-old infant. The infant was decapitated. The settlement of Itamar had been the target of several murderous attacks before these killings. Amjad Awad and Hakim Awad, two young Palestinian cousins from the village of Awarta, were arrested for the murders. A ''mezuzah'' ( he, מְזוּזָה "doorpost"; plural: ''mezuzot'') is a piece of parchment, known as a '' klaf'', contained in a decorative case and inscribed with specific Hebrew verses from the Torah ( and ). 2014 Kidnapping And Murder Of Israeli Teenagers
On 12 June 2014, three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped at the bus/ hitchhiking stop at the Israeli settlement of Alon Shvut in Gush Etzion, in the West Bank, as they were hitchhiking to their homes. The three teens were Naftali Frenkel (16, from Nof Ayalon), Gilad Shaer (16, from Talmon), and Eyal Yifrah (19, from Elad). Gilad Shaer called a police emergency hotline to report the kidnapping. The emergency call recording, initially under a gag order, was leaked to the public.
