Aslak Borgersrud
Gatas Parlament () is a Norway, Norwegian group of Hip hop music, rap artists. It currently consists of artists Elling Borgersrud and Jester. The group was the first to release a hiphop-recording in their native language, Norwegian. All current and former members have strong left (politics), left-leaning political views, and make their feelings on many things, including United States, American president George W. Bush, a common wikt:motif#Noun, motif in their lyrics. Elling Borgersrud has stood for national election as a minor political candidate for the Red Electoral Alliance. History Gatas Parlament started out in 1993, taking the name Kveldens Høydepunkt (''Highlight of the Evening''). Don Martin did not take to the name, however, and thus it was dropped. Later, they attended a public speech by Carl I. Hagen, the chairman of the right (politics), right-wing party Fremskrittspartiet, where they threw eggs and rotten fruit at Hagen. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of 1,064,235 in 2022, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age, the area was part of Viken. ''Fred, Frihet & Alt Gratis'' ("Peace, Freedom & Everything For Free") is an album released by the Norwegian hip hop group Gatas Parlament. It was released in August 2004. The cover was made by Rolf Groven. Reception From the Norwegian press, who mostly graded the album with dice throws (ranging from 1 to 6), the album received moderate reviews. The dice throw of 5 was given by ''Adresseavisen'' as well as a few other newspapers and hip-hop reviewer Martin Bjørnersen in ''Natt og Dag''. A score of 4 was given by ''Dagbladet'' and ''Aftenposten'' ('' Aften'' edition) in Oslo, as well as several other outlets. ''Verdens Gang'', ''Dagsavisen'' ''Bergens Tidende'' and ''Bergensavisen'' were among the moderate-to-negative newspapers, where the reviewers gave 3 out of 6, as did others. In sociolinguistics, a sociolect is a form of language ( non-standard dialect, restricted register) or a set of lexical items used by a socioeconomic class, profession, age group, or other social group. The Progress Party (; , FrP; ) is a political party in Norway. It is generally positioned to the right of the Conservative Party, and is considered the most right-wing party to be represented in parliament. It is often described as right-wing populist, which has been disputed in public discourse, and has been described by various academics and some journalists as far-right.
