Ashyrguly Begliyev
Ashyrguly Begliyev ( tk, Aşyrguly Begliýew) is a political figure and hydrocarbon geologist in Turkmenistan, formerly deputy prime minister for oil and gas, and as of 13 May 2023 counselor for oil and gas of the president of Turkmenistan. Biography According to official state media, Begliyev was born in 1957 in what is now the Bagyr neighborhood of Ashgabat (at the time a separate village). In 1979 he graduated from the Ashgabat Polytechnic Institute as a mining engineer and geophysicist. From 1979 to 1985 he worked as a geophysical technician for an experimental expedition in Turkmenistan. From 1985 to 1988 he was a geophysicist with the Turkmen Scientific-Research Geological Exploration Institute. Serdar Gurbangulyýewiç Berdimuhamedow, (born 22 September 1981) is the third and current president of Turkmenistan, serving since 19 March 2022. Berdimuhamedow had previously served in several other positions within the government of his father, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. In 2021, he became one of several deputy chairmen in the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Shahym Abdrahamov ( tk, Şahym Abdrahmanow) is a Turkmen political figure and petroleum geologist. Abdrahmanov was born in 1963 in Ýagtyýol, Garagum district, of Mary province of Turkmenistan. He graduated in 1986 from the Turkmen State Politechnical Institute, majoring in mining engineering and geology. Abdrahmanov first worked as a geologist for the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation. The Galkynysh Gas Field, formerly known as Iolotan gas field or South Yolotan – Osman field, is a large natural gas field near Ýolöten in Mary Province of Turkmenistan. It is the world's second-largest gas field. History The discovery of the gas field was announced on 2 November 2006. Hazar (until 1999 known as Çeleken, also written Cheleken; russian: Челекен; Persian: Chaharken ) is a seaport town located on the Cheleken Peninsula of the Caspian Sea. The president of Turkmenistan ( tk, Türkmenistanyň prezidenti), officially the president and chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, is the head of state and head of government of Turkmenistan. The president is also the supreme commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and heads the State Security Council.
