Ashvin Kumar is an Indian filmmaker. He wrote, directed and produced India's only Oscar-nominated short film, '' Little Terrorist'' (2004), with his debut film ''Road to Ladakh'' being released in the same year. He also made the feature-length documentary films ''Inshallah, Kashmir'' (2012) and ''Inshallah Football'' (2010); feature-length thriller ''The Forest'' (2012); and coming-of-age tale '' Dazed in Doon'' (2010). In 2005, Kumar became the youngest Indian writer/director to earn an Academy Award Oscar nomination. Ashwin Kkumar is an Indian actor who works in Malayalam and Tamil films. He made his acting debut with '' Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru'' (2016). Career After the completion of his studies, Ashwin assumed the role of Joint Managing Director (JMD) in his father's business, RTC. During this phase, he explored his passion for acting by participating in short films, radio shows, and dance videos. An intriguing turn of events played a pivotal role in Ashwin's career. During the infamous 2015 South Indian floods, Ashwin found himself stranded at Dubai International Airport en route to Chennai, as his flight was canceled. Coincidentally, director Gautham Vasudev Menon faced a similar situation, with his flight from MAA to DXB being canceled due to the same flood. Ashwin Kumar is an Indian television and film actor. He is the grandson of K. A. Thangavelu. After beginning his career as a child artist, he has worked on series including ''Thamarai'', '' Lakshmi Kalyanam'' and ''Tamil Selvi''. Career In 2012, Ashwin finished working on a coming-of-age film titled ''Hi Da'' directed by Brindha Das, which had music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar. Though the soundtrack and an official trailer were released, the film did not have a theatrical release. He then appeared in Radha Mohan's bilingual film '' Gouravam'' (2013), in both the Tamil and Telugu versions.
