Ashley Medrano (born November 1, 1989), known under the ring name Ashley Vox, is an American professional wrestler. She performs with her younger sister Delmi Exo, as the Sea Stars. They are the longest reigning Shimmer Tag Team Champions in history. Professional wrestling career Independent circuit (2014–present) On April 28, 2017, Vox won the Chaotic Wrestling Women's Championship. Exo and Vox began competing in Shimmer Women Athletes in 2019 where they won and became the Shimmer Tag Team Champions by defeating Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez on November 2, 2019, at Volume 115. She alongside Delmi Exo is also the longest reigning Shimmer Tag Team Champion in history at 730 days during their her reign. Sumie Sakai
is a Japanese professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist. She is best known for her extensive tenure in Ring of Honor, where she was the inaugural and longest reigning Women of Honor Champion. Early life As a young woman, Sakai practiced judo. From 1995 to 1997, she halted her practice of judo to work with senior citizens at the Kasugamachi Care Center in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. Professional wrestling career Japan Sakai became involved in wrestling when her friend and fellow judo practitioner, Megumi Yabushita, invited her to join the wrestling sport. Sakai trained under Jaguar Yokota and made her debut on April 20, 1997 with the Yoshimoto Ladies Pro Wrestling promotion, facing Yabushita in the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The Women of Honor World Championship was a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH). History At Final Battle, December 15, 2017, it was announced that a tournament to crown the first Women of Honor Championship would start on January 20, 2018. The tournament featured ROH regulars, called the ROH Women of Honor and wrestlers from ROH partner promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom (Stardom) as well. On April 7, 2018 Sumie Sakai became the inaugural champion by defeating Kelly Klein in the 16-women tournament finals at Supercard of Honor XII in New Orleans, LA.
