Ashleigh Lynch
Ashleigh Aaron Lynch (born 28 April 1990) is an English cricketer. Lynch is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm Fast. He was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire and was educated at John Port School. In his later years, he has suffered from hair loss which seemed to knock his confidence on and off the field. While studying for his degree at Loughborough University, Lynch made his first-class debut for Loughborough UCCE against Leicestershire in 2009. He made two further first-class appearances in 2009, against Kent and Hampshire. In his three first-class matches, he scored 150 runs at an average of 50.00, with a high score of 100*. Burton upon Trent, also known as Burton-on-Trent or simply Burton, is a market town in the borough of East Staffordshire in the county of Staffordshire, England, close to the border with Derbyshire. Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism). First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams.
