Ashish Kumar (boxer)
Ashish Kumar Chaudhary (born 18 July 1994) is an Indian amateur boxer who competes in the middleweight category. He won a silver medal at the 2019 Asian Championships and a gold medal at 2019 Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament held in Bangkok. He also won bronze medal at 2020 Asia/Oceania Olympics Qualifier and represented India in middleweight category at 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. Early and personal life Ashish Kumar Chaudhary was born on 18 July 1994 in Dhanotu, Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh to Bhagat Ram Dogra and Durga Devi. His father was a farmer and played kabaddi at the national level. Kumar was inspired to take up boxing by his brothers and cousins who have competed at national and international levels in Boxing, Wrestling and Wushu. Kumar's father passed away a month before Kumar competed at the 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Amman, Jordan. Ashish Kumar (gymnast)
Ashish Kumar (born 26 November 1990) is an Indian artistic gymnast from Allahabad. In 2010, he became the first Indian gymnast to win medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, claiming a bronze and a silver medal. This achievement made him the most successful Indian gymnast in Commonwealth Games history. Competitive history 2006 Kumar first participated at the 2006 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships staged in Surat, India. He won the bronze medal on the Floor Exercise, tied with Syrian gymnast Fadi Bahlawan. This was India's first major international medal in the history of artistic gymnastics. Kumar also competed at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. Ashish Kumar Ballal (born 8 October 1970) is a former Indian goalkeeper of field hockey. He represented India in 275 international matches in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the 1990 World cup, 3 Champions Trophy tournaments (1989, 1993, 1996), 2 Asian Games (1994, 1998) and 2 Asia Cups (1989, 1993). Ballal became a household name in India when he saved two tie-breaker goals in the 1998 Bangkok Asian Games final against South Korea. India, captained by Ballal, went on to win the Asiad hockey gold at Bangkok after a gap of 32 years.
