Ashish Deshmukh
Ashish Ranjeet Deshmukh was the member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represented the Katol Assembly Constituency. He resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party Deshmukh is the son of former president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and former Maharashtra minister Ranjeet Deshmukh. In December 2013, Deshmukh had undertaken an indefinite fast to press for formation of a separate Vidarbha state. Katol Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India. Overview Katol (constituency number 48) is one of the 12 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Nagpur district. It covers the entire Narkhed and Katol talukas and part of Nagpur (Rural) taluka. Number of electorates was 245,811 in 2009 (male 128,076, female 117,735). Katol
Katol is a city and a municipal council in Nagpur district of Maharashtra state, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Katol taluka, one of the 14 talukas of this district. Being located in orange belt it is a major centre for orange trading. Mythology In Dvapara Yuga, during the reign of Raja Chandrahasa, Katol's name was Kuntalapur. Ramtek
Ramtek is a city and municipal council in Nagpur district of Maharashtra, India. History Ramtek hosts the historic temple of Rama. It is believed that Ramtek was the place where Rama, the Hindu god, rested while he was in exile. According to Hindu history the ashram of the Hindu sage Agastya was situated close to Ramtek. The present temple was built by Raghuji Bhonsale, the Maratha ruler of Nagpur in 18th century after his victory over fort of Deogarh in Chindwara.
