Ashad Ali (born 14 September 1986), nicknamed Adey or Adubarey, is a Maldivian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Club Valencia. He was a member of the Maldives national football team. Club career Ashad started his career at Victory Sports Club. He later joined VB Sports Club before joining the newly promoted side BG Sports Club In 2018, he signed a one-year deal with Club Green Streets. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih
Ibrahim Mohamed Solih ( dv, އިބްރާހީމް މުޙައްމަދު ޞާލިޙް; ar, إبراهيم محمد صالح; born 1 March 1962), better known as Ibu (އިބޫ), is a Maldivian politician and the president of the Maldives since 17 November 2018. Solih was first elected to the People's Majlis in 1994, aged 30, as the MP from his home atoll of Faadhippolhu. Solih played a leading role in the formation of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and the Maldives Political Reform Movement from 2003 until 2008, which led to the country adopting a new modern constitution and multiparty democracy for the first time in its history. Solih was also a senior member of parliament and the Special Majlis. Mansur Faqiryar
Mansur Faqiryar (born 3 January 1986) is an Afghan former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played in Germany and represented the Afghanistan national team at international level. Club career In 2005, Faqiryar signed for amateur club FC Union 60 Bremen. He played there for one season before moving to FC Oberneuland in 2006. Whilst at the club he managed 44 appearances in the league as well as two appearances in the DFB-Pokal. In 2009, he signed with Niedersachsenliga club VfB Oldenburg. International career In 2011, Faqiryar made his debut for the Afghanistan national team, in a 3–0 win over Bhutan. In 2011, he collected five caps overall. 2014 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2014 AFC Challenge Cup was the fifth and the final edition of the AFC Challenge Cup, an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member nations that are mainly categorized as "emerging countries" in the now defunct Vision Asia programme. It took place from 19 to 30 May 2014. The winner, Palestine, qualified to the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. 2012 AFC Challenge Cup Qualification
The 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification phase saw eight teams advance to the final tournament in Nepal. The qualification draw was held on 20 October 2010, in AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Seeding The seedings are based on the 2010 AFC Challenge Cup. Unlike previous editions with the exception of the inaugural edition, no team has been given direct entry into the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup. Defending champions Korea DPR, runners-up Turkmenistan and third-placed Tajikistan would now have to go through the qualifiers to enter the finals. The eight lowest ranked teams would take part in the playoff round while the remaining 12 teams would enter the Group Stage. 2009 SAFF Championship
The 2009 South Asian Football Federation Championship was hosted by Bangladesh from 4 to 13 December 2009. Bangladesh was awarded to host the tournament after the withdrawal of original hosts India. After India's reluctance to host the tournament, in May 2009, at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Salahuddin on his return from the AFC Congress informed that although India were still retaining their status as hosts of the championship, Bangladesh and Nepal had turned in fresh bids in anticipation of staging this prestigious eight-nation meet.
