Cory Asbury
Cory Hunter Asbury (born October 15, 1985) is an American Christian musician, worship pastor, songwriter, and former member of the Bethel Music collective. Starting as an intern with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2005, Asbury's career as a musician grew as he collaborated with Matt Gilman leading to the release of ''Holy'' in 2008, followed by his first solo album, ''Let Me See Your Eyes'', in 2009 by Forerunner Music, and numerous appearances on IHOPKC albums, with songs such as "Where I Belong", "Shekinah", "All Is for Your Glory" and "Holy Ghost Party". In June 2012, Asbury moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to join New Life Church (Colorado Springs, Colorado), New Life Church where he began as an associate worship pastor, becoming a member of its ensembles, Desperation Band and New Life Worship. Asbury Park, New Jersey
Asbury Park () is a beachfront city located on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 15,188, a decrease of 928 (−5.8%) from the 2010 census count of 16,116, which in turn reflected a decline of 814 (−4.8%) from the 16,930 counted in the 2000 census. In 2022, Asbury Park's beach was named one of the best in the world by ''Money'' and one of the best in the country by '' Travel + Leisure''. Asbury Automotive Group is an American company based in Atlanta that operates auto dealerships in various parts of the United States. Founded in 1995, it was ranked No. 242 on the 2025 Fortune 500 list. With 148 dealerships and 198 franchises representing 31 American, European, and Asian brands, it is the third largest automotive retailer in the United States as of March 2022. Asbury was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Niles Center branch, now known as the Yellow Line. The station was located at Asbury Avenue and Brummel Street in Evanston, Illinois. Francis Asbury
Francis Asbury (August 20 or 21, 1745 – March 31, 1816) was a British-American Methodist minister who became one of the first two bishop (Methodist), bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States. During his 45 years in the colonies and the newly independent United States, he devoted his life to ministry, circuit rider (religious), traveling on horseback and by carriage thousands of miles to those living on the frontier. Asbury spread Methodism in British colonial America and the United States as part of the Second Great Awakening. He also founded several schools during his lifetime, although his own formal education was limited. His journal is valuable to scholars for its account of frontier society, with references to many towns and villages in Colonial America. Along with John Wesley, John and Charles Wesley, Asbury is often celebrated as one of the founders of the Methodist Church.
